We encourage our staff to use their creativity and deep technical insight to add value to our customers business as well as to their intellectual property. We do not evaluate our staff by the numbers of hours spent or turn-over of patents but by the total satisfaction they bring to our clients.

OUR BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY

That the most important indication of the value of our service is the level of trust the client places in us. Job quality is thoroughly reviewed and maintained by effective and flexible administration, though more importantly, our team members are empowered by their own sense of responsibility. At Ryuka we accept only responsible and honest practitioners in order to maintain an environment of excellence.

COLLABORATION

The technical staff at Ryuka have either academic research experience or front end working experience, or both. Thererfore, we at Ryuka are able to understand the real needs of industry as well as academic professionals. Such intimate collaboration with clients is indispensable to achieving superior IP portfolio protection.

CREATIVITY

A majority of our members worked as engineers for various technology leaders prior to joining the Ryuka firm. Together, the staff at Ryuka are listed as inventors in over 300 Japanese, and 277 US patents. Being not only patent attorneys, but prolific inventors ourselves, we have a great appreciation for the creative process and a firm grasp of the methods of protecting such creativity.

NETWORKING

In today's networked society, information literally spreads (disseminates) at the speed of light. At Ryuka, we take extreme care to protect the confidentiality of our client's information. Once we have obtained the proper IP protection for our clients and they are ready to expose their ideas to the world, we eagerly assist them through our well - established horizontal network. Unlike most firms, we are also willing to knock on new doors at the request of a client.

EDUCATION

Our office holds regular intermediate and upper level lectures on international intellectual property topics to which we invite Japanese patent practitioners and guest lecturers from all countries. We hold frequent internal technical meetings to circulate updated knowledge and practical ability. Because information is freely shared within our office, our professional staff are able to benefit from the knowledge gained by their peers, and our senior staff always have a clear picture of what our junior staff are accomplishing. We are always willing to hold joint lectures in Japan for overseas clients and associates in order to stay at the forefront of the trends in worldwide intellectual property.
